Black color only. OUR NEWEST SNOWMOBILE/ATV GRIP and so easy to install. Twin heating circuits are built into the grip, no resistor needed for low heat.
FITS Arctic Cat, Polaris, or Ski-Doo SNOWMOBILE OR ATV with 7/8" handlebars. NEW SOFT Kraton-G rubber. Not for Yamaha snowmobiles, mini-sleds for children, or any machine with less than 100 watts of 12v output.
HIGH / LOW HEAT - twin heating circuits are built into the grip. An infinitely adjustable heat controller is an option, see Accessories.

AVAILABLE WITH OPEN ENDS. If you have any attachments that insert into the outer ends of your handlebars this grip is also available with open ends, no extra charge, we'll bore out the ends. You cannot cut off the end with a hacksaw or you will cut into the heating wires. Let us do it on our special jig where we bore out the end to 7/8" diameter. When you go thru the purchase process, the option of open ends will appear... check the box.
PATENTED HEATING ELEMENTS can't burn-out.
CUSTOM OPTIONS - all our grips come stock with a three position (high, low, off) weatherproof toggle switch. Optionally you can substitute a handlebar mounted switch, a mini toggle switch or infinitely variable heat controller. See Accessories.
The shape is tubular, and cannot stretch to go over curved handlebar ends. If you have aluminum handlebars instead of steel, none of our products can keep up with the "heat-sink" effect of the aluminum. In such a case, find a special high-heat alternative online. The color of our wires: Black= ground, Red= high, Orange = low. These should not be used on a Yamaha, because Yamaha feeds 18 volts to their grips wired in series so each grip sees 9 volts.
Ski-Doo wiring colors on their original equipment heated grips: On some but not necessarily all years their color codes are:
Yellow with black stripe=ground,
Orange with purple stripe= Low.
For Polaris and Arctic Cat snowmobiles: If one of your original heated grips is still functional, disconnect the wires from the original heated grip, and measure electrical resistance in ohms of the different "pairs" of just two of the three wires. You will find that one of the pairs will read in the 7-10 ohms range, and one of the pairs will read in the 14-19 ohms range. Make note of the colors of the wires and the reading you get for each pair. For example if you have a pair of wires that reads 9 ohms, and another pair that reads 18 ohms, then make a note that the 9 ohm pair is your HIGH heat circuit, and the 18 ohms is your LOW circuit. The two pairs share a common colored wire. That common shared wire is your ground wire, and should be attached to our black wire. Their 18 ohm wire should be connected to our orange wire, and their 9 ohm wire should be connected to our red wire. By carefully measuring the resistance and making note of the color, you will ensure that your original hi-off-lo switch works as intended.

NOT for aluminum handlebars, as the aluminum acts like a heat sink, drawing away much of the heat. Filling aluminum handlebars with ANY form of insulation is essentially ineffective because the loss is conducted thru the aluminum, not the air inside.
